On June 1st at Microsoft's campus in Mountain View, 23 startups representing 13 countries gathered together to compete for the Cup, and entrepreneurs and investors alike came to celebrate innovative technology from around the world. Combining global technology innovation with a touch of friendly competition, the World Cup Tech Challenge is a dynamic way for startups from around the world to launch their products in Silicon Valley for the first time. Our Global Partners are instrumental in providing support to the competing startups through mentorship, participation in the judging process, and creating meaningful connections. The World Cup Tech Challenge is organized by Silicon Valley Forum. For over 30 years, Silicon Valley Forum has fostered innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership in Silicon Valley. We function as a center of knowledge and connections, covering everything from the latest tech trends to the startup and investment ecosystem. We have a long history of creating successful events, programs and conferences that educate, train, inspire, and connect technologists, entrepreneurs, investors, innovation and startup hubs, and students—in Silicon Valley, throughout the U.S., and globally. We organize about 150 different activities per year, have over 20,000 subscribers/users, and work with over 40 countries worldwide. Our partners include global leaders Deloitte, DLA Piper, IBM, Microsoft, Bank of the West, Qualcomm, and Siemens as well as leading venture capital firms, and service providers.
