We welcome startups from all over the world that are interested in presenting their products and representing their country at the 2nd Annual World Cup Tech Challenge 2015.
In order to be considered for the competition, please fill out all boxes and upload an Executive Summary of no more than two pages together with a 2-minute video-pitch (video is optional), all in below linked application form. The deadline for submission is set to be on the April 27 however; we will be screening applications as they come in, and therefore strongly encourage you to send in your application before the deadline. The 24 qualified startups will be announced no later than May 10.
Startups that apply must have a product or service available in the market as of April 2015, but not introduced in the Global marketplace for more than a few months prior to the event. This means that you might already have launched your product in your local market, gained traction and perhaps even revenue and you're now ready for a Global launch. Not sure if you meet the criteria? Contact us and we’ll let you know. Executive Summaries and video pitches will be evaluated by a board of judges within the different tech categories (Groups). The qualified startups within the different Groups will be invited to compete in the Finals in Silicon Valley, demo in the expo hall and present on stage for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A from a panel of professional Silicon Valley investors and industry experts. A winner in each Group will be selected by votes from the panel, audience as well as points from the online voting, in each of the 6 Groups. The Group winners will take home great prizes sponsored by the Group sponsors as well as one-on-one meetings with VC's, Angels and corporate executives and venture groups in Silicon Valley. The startup with the highest overall score will win the 3D printed Cup, and walk away with a cash prize (amount tbd).
If you qualify to the finals, you will receive an invitation letter with instructions as well as how to pay the participation fee which is $500. The participation fee includes:
Tickets to the World Cup Tech Challenge for yourself and 3 people of your choice.
Demo table that includes signage, 120V power, and high speed wireless internet connection.
5 minutes to pitch your product: followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with the panel of investors and industry experts.
Visibility in all communication and PR channels and material prior to, during and after the event.
