About The Event

On June 1st at Microsoft’s campus in Mountain View, 23 startups representing 13 countries gathered together to compete for the Cup, and entrepreneurs and investors alike came to celebrate innovative technology from around the world. Combining global technology innovation with a touch of friendly competition, the World Cup Tech Challenge is a dynamic way for startups from around the world to launch their products in Silicon Valley for the first time. Announcing Our 2016 Winner...

Irystec of Canada

Displays are manufactured assuming that all eyes are the same. As a result mobile and VR displays run too bright, consume too much power, cause eye strain and eye fatigue. Irystec’s software solves these problems by intelligently adjusting contrast and colour.

About the Groups:

Magnetic Insight will introduce the first new diagnostic imaging technique since the introduction of CT, MRI and PET over 30 years ago with magnetic particle imaging (MPI). MPI detects iron oxide tracers with high sensitivity deep in the body without radiation or toxins.

GEA Enzymes is engaged in production of biological molecules called Enzymes. These enzymes are capable of catalyzing reactions that naturally would take time, so they are used in industrial processes such as the production of wine, starch syrups and lactose-free food. Currently the process of identifying enzymes is highly expensive and time-consuming. Our team has developed bioinformatics technology, which allows us to find and produce enzymes reducing time and costs of production. #WCTChile
